SGMC is a not-for-profit medical system dedicated to improving the health, wellness and quality of life in the communities we serve. It encompasses South Georgia Medical Center and SGMC Smith Northview (Valdosta, GA), SGMC Lanier Campus (Lakeland, GA) and SGMC Berrien Campus (Nashville, GA). These facilities serve a large, diverse population with a variety of inpatient and outpatient services. The system also includes primary and specialty care offices throughout South Georgia communities.

SGMC was established to care for the sick and injured, regardless of gender, race, creed, color, nationality, handicap or disability. As a self-supporting health system, SGMC proudly provides care for the sick and injured with no local tax support. Because SGMC is publicly owned and operated, any earnings are reinvested back into the system’s facilities and services.
